I then posted this thread but apparently in the wrong section. I have tried the chat feature built into Outlook but they only suggested turning off New Outlook, and then stopped replying to my messages. I am somewhat embarrassed to have to ask for assistance but I have hit a wall here. Please see screenshot:I therefore decided to remove and re-add the iCloud account to Outlook. However, when I got there the field was uneditable. It looks desperately unprofessional.I attempted to correct this by navigating to "Account Settings." and with a view to changing the contents of the ""Full name:" field. As such, unbeknown to me, for well over a month I was sending emails and instead of them appearing in recipient's email inboxes as from "Matt Peacock" they have instead appeared as from "*** Email address is removed for privacy ***" (made up address but you get the point). I am in the process of applying for jobs and I thought I couldn't risk looking unprofessional. When I first set up Outlook on Mac to use my iCloud account it either did not provide me with an option to set my display name or I missed that dialogue box. It is a longstanding complaint for which third party plugins exist to try and tackle - madness.Having poked around, the only sent items affected are those that were sent via Outlook for Mac or Outlook for iPhone. Curiously it is only sent mailthat seems to be affected - the inbox and all other mailboxes are fine. Problem solved I thought! I could not have been more wrong. The first and most serious new issue I have is that I have lost a significant number of sent items. That is, my emails now arrive as from "Matt Peacock". I elected against syncing via Microsoft servers, and I was given the option to set my "Full name":I did set it, and sent a test email which arrived correctly formatted. I'm obviously keen to get back sent items which relate to job applications as I do not want to be seen to have to ask for e.g. Before I removed and re-added my iCloud account, Outlook for Mac sync'd everything perfectly.Any help at all would be gratefully received. How do I force it to sync the full mailbox? For the avoidance of doubt, this was not previously an issue. Download surah ali imran ayat 159 mp3I'm also pretty frustrated that the default option is to use a different system - sync to Microsoft's servers. I never imagined that removing a local account would result in data loss from a server. It's 2021 and these are the basics of email. Moreover, I do not understand how the elementary matter of syncing emails across a server is such difficult to understand operation. I find it hard to understand how Microsoft would ever think it normal or appropriate to allow an email account to be set up without a display name, and then go one further and prevent that display name from ever being edited again. I will look disorganised. I have to say I'm pretty exasperated by these issues having arisen at all. Thank you for your time and patience in posting such a detailed post:) We understand your feeling, I can imagine that must be frustrating.Based on your description, my understanding is that after you changed the display name, your Outlook client has lost the messages you sent in the Sent Items, and your inbox can't sync all the messages you received, right? If I misunderstand your situation, please feel free to point out, thank you.Typically, modifying the display name does not change mailbox synchronization, and in order to narrow down the problem, I need to know some relevant information.First, may l know how you configured your account to Outlook? IMAP, or POP? If you configure POP account to Outlook, we recommend you try to configure your account as IMAP. It's too complex and confusing.Good day. Moreover, if I send a message from Apple Mail on iOS that syncs to Outlook on Mac. It works fine in respect of sending and receiving emails from Outlook. I can now edit it freely and doing so does not impact my inbox. As to your request of the settings, which are IMAP, most are auto-populated by Outlook. When the account was re-added, I was again given the option to edit the display name. I therefore removed the account (which was set up to sync across Microsoft servers) and re-added it (set up to sync across iCloud servers). It was not an option - it was greyed out. Samsung plasma tv ps43d450 software updateHowever, that is unrelated to the missing sent items. It gave the impression that they were always there but for whatever reason were not being shown. I consider that is where the problem, and solutions, lies.I would just note that the second issue, that not all items were syncing, resolved itself - I switched back and forth between Outlook and New Outlook, and 1000's of messages suddenly flashed into view in one go. I am confident that the sole difference between the old account and the new account is the use of Microsoft's server.
